ICT SUSTAINABILITY FOR CHARITIES
From inception, Clarion has been committed to promoting environmental responsibility in all areas of our business and we are focused on helping charities and non-profit organisations achieve the same.
As proud champions of various green schemes, including tree planting, remanufacturing programmes and hardware buy-back initiatives, we help the charity and NFP sector to meet its sustainability targets.
BUY BACK SCHEME
Clarion’s Buy Back scheme enables you to sell, or trade in, decommissioned or redundant Telecoms/IT equipment. Instead of sitting on surplus equipment, ask for details of our buy-back service. We can refurbish, repair or recycle your used equipment responsibly so as to avoid waste and minimise landfill. By doing so, we can help you release capital and meet your sustainability targets at the same time.
As a further sustainable initiative, Clarion has an industry-leading remanufactured scheme for IT and Telecoms hardware. Working with global brands and highly regarded UK companies like Comms Warehouse, we can supply refurbished and remanufactured Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Telephones and Headsets for up to 80% less than the cost of brand new equivalents.
Our strict remanufacturing process delivers the same quality assurances you would expect from new equipment but at a fraction of the cost and without any impact on the environment.
When you do business with us, we try to give a little something more back.
Clarion is aligned with Carbon Footprint UK’s Tree Planting initiative. Planting is a great way to help sequester carbon emissions through trees’ absorption of carbon dioxide. Planting takes place in school locations and other biodiversity sites. All trees are high quality cell-grown ‘whips’ (year-old saplings).
On your behalf, Clarion will plant trees in your region of the UK and this will help to:
- Provide wildlife habitats & support biodiversity
- Plant native British trees
- Enhance the natural UK landscape
- Offset CO2 emissions
- Protect forests and biodiversity in two continents (see box, right)
For every tree planted in the UK, a tonne of carbon will also be saved in the Amazon via the VCS (Verified Carbon Standard), avoiding deforestation.
SHOWCASE YOUR GREEN CREDENTIALS
We are always happy to help if you need additional information, such as images or stories, which you may wish to use to showcase your green credentials on your web site or in your newsletter.
